It's a Party!!

I made Luke a choo-choo birthday cake filled to the brim with all sorts of yummy candy!!

There were LOTS of presents to open, in which Ethan was a BIG help!!

Puzzles and train pieces - yeah!!

The empire grows!

Time for cake!!

Ethan enjoys some birthday cake. He was more interrested in the candy on top than the cake itself. He picked off every last sprinkle before taking a bite of cake!!

Clean up time! Luke hung out in the tub while I scrubbed the smashed chocolate cake out of the carpet. It's ok, it's just once a year, right??? Ok, no, but it's still ok!!

I've always been impressed by your culinary ability, but now I am VERY impressed. DId you just come up with this or did you find out how to make this somewhere? Either way . . . nice job!! Also, I've seen a couple pictures of the kids in the tub and I am so curious . . . what is the plastic looking thing on the wall of the shower? Is it some kind of toy for the boys to play with? If so do they write on it? And if so, what do they write with? Just had me curious!!

Great job - I loved the train cake! Did you get the pattern somehere else (can you share?) I have not been brave enough to give my boys chocolate icing yet - looks like fun!

Katrina and Carrie - I saw a picture in one of my cake cookbooks "cakemix magic". It was really fun to make! You are supposed to bake the little "cars" in loaf pans, but I did not have six mini loaf pans. I just did a 9x13 and cut little rectangles. Then you just frost them and fill them with candy. Very easy. I had the greatest time in the candy isle finding all the candy and wheels, etc.
Katrina - the plastic looking thing on the wall of the shower is a little mat w/ suction cups for the boys to color on with tub crayons. Really cool toys. The kids can write anywhere in the tub and it just wipes off. They really love it. You and Don should try them!!

Amazing!! That cake is so out of my league...you say it was so easy and fun...but I would be stressed and probably end up with cake and icing everywhere...before Titus even got to try it. Mark could probably whip that cake out in no time...but as for me...I do brownies and cookies....and tub crayons!! Hope you are all doing well! I know summer time is very very busy for youth pastor's and their families!

Hello, Carissa! I enjoyed all the pictures of your adorable boys. Impressive train too. I'm finally in the blogging world, but it may not be very interesting yet. Hope we can keep in touch!
