What Happened to my Baby?

I took my baby to kindergarten today! Through yet another wave of sniffles, I write, thanking the Lord for His goodness to me. What a sweet time I have had with my BABY Ethan and what amazing years lie ahead as we begin this season of the school years. I felt different as I walked out of the school today (and across the parking lot to our house - really, it feels a lot farther away today) because I am officially, a SCHOOL MOM! And I'm excited about it! I can't wait to fill out my first field trip form and order a book from that great little newspaper-ish booklet - don't you remember those? Scholastic, I think. I know the lunches, homework, and uniform maintenance will get old pretty quick, but for now, I am enjoying it all.

RISE AND SHINE! IT'S YOUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

READY TO GO!

KISSES FOR MOMMY!

MY TURN - HOLD STILL!!

LEAVING THE SIBLINGS BEHIND

Over the River and Through the Woods to Grandmother's House we Went!
This last week I took the kids to spend a week with Ben's parents in Michigan...and what a time they had! Fishing, swimming, frogs, fishing, frogs, outings, and of course...swimming!

Uncle Tad came for some fun!

1st day of fishing - out on the boat with Grandpa and Uncle Tad.

Kate gave her new cousin, Seth lots of love!

Trip to the "Air Zoo"

Trip to the ZOO!

This picture I had to include for it shows perfectly the relationship between Kate and cousin Titus! What a pair!!

FROGS!
Grandma and Grandpa have 2 little ponds in their backyard filled with goldfish and LOTS of frogs. This is where the boys spent ALL their time (when they could not convince someone to take them down to the lake to swim or fish)!
One of their many captives!

Another perk of Grandma's house is the roof that you can crawl on!! It took a few days before the boys realized this one!!

The minnow trap

MORE fishing for Ethan!

Swimming for the rest!

Ethan also loved to hold baby Seth!

...and you can't thoroughly enjoy Grandma and Grandpa's house unless you wake them up EARLY every day, follow them around, jump and crawl all over them, and make them wonder if they are going to go crazy!
Thank you Granny and Gramps for a fun week!
