Ethan turns 2!!

Basketball Cake!! I learned that making black frosting is virtually impossibe!
Thankfully, I found some black writing gel in the pantry!

Andy, Davina, Michael, and Caleb helped us celebrate. We had stromboli for dinner and then dove into the birthday cake!!

Ethan and caleb loved the cake and icecream!

Ethan had lots of presents to unwrap - the best being the little people airplane and the choo-choo from the grandparents!! The guys had fun putting it all together (after we unwired and untaped every piece from the package - why do toy companies do that anyway??).

Thank you grandmas and grandpas for all the fun Luke and I will have playing with my new toys. Mommy thanks you too because now we might leave her alone long enough to take a shower!! At least for a few days anyway!!

I just got caught up on your blog today. That is so awesome about the approval for your house to be built. I have never seen a house put together like that-- it looks soooo nice. We are happy for you because we know you will use it in ministry so much.

I can't believe Ethan is already 2! You did such a good job on the birthday cake -- I am verrrrry impressed.

Happy Birthday Ethan! We just got caught up on your lives! Jason laughed and laughed about the diaper failure on the plane story. He's had the same experience with our darling daughter. :) We're so happy for you about the house. I know it's been a long wait! Pray with us as we start the process of getting approved for a loan and start house hunting for something big enough, cheap enough, and close enough to the church. It seems impossible, but we know God will work it out for us! Love you guys. (oh, I like the hair cut Carissa!)

Lovely work on the cake-- to get BLACK frosting, if you need a lot of it, start with chocolate frosting and add black. Otherwise be prepared to use a bunch of bottles of the Wilton paste color!

--Just a stranger popping in from Lori's blog :) have a blessed day :)
